A Winning Partnership: Sun City Civic Association and Avalon Management Celebrate Top HonorsAvalon Management, along with its staff and clients, received top honors at the prestigious Community Associations Institute-Greater Inland Empire (CAI-GRIE) awards, which represents a wide range of professionals and volunteers in the Common Interest Development Industry. Each year, the best and brightest are recognized for their achievements and outstanding work at the TOPS (Top of Profession & Service) Awards.
Among thousands of potential candidates, the Avalon Management team stood out for their stellar achievements and outstanding work during 2021. At the ceremony held at Pechanga Casino in Temecula, Avalon Management received four important awards. One of these awards was Community Association of the Year for the Sun City Civic Association. This award is presented to recipients who have gone above and beyond within their communities. The SCCA was selected due to a number of unique features, activities, and programs that make this large community stand out from others in the area. The awards committee was impressed by the successful efforts to bring more to the local Menifee community, such as the weekly Farmers’ Market. Not only has it provided an event that community members can enjoy, but it also provides a way to monetize residents’ hobbies and talents, including crafts and artistic endeavors. The Association was also praised for focusing on helping those in need. This included:
Winning this award proves that SCCA Board and residents, along with Avalon Management, make a great team and do positive things that benefit the Association and the nearby community of Menifee. Accepting the award from CAI President Nick Mokhlessin on behalf of the Association was Norma Zermeno, General Manager, and Board Members Suzie Hunt, Nancy Thompson, Brian Holley, June Conant, Boyd Barrett and Jack Corlett. Congratulations to Sun City Civic Association’s very own manager Norma Zermeno for winning the Community Associations Institute-Greater Inland Empire (CAI-GRIE) award for Manager of the Year.
This award is presented to the manager who has displayed exemplary conduct in ethics, good communication, and management skills as well as shows loyalty to the industry by furthering service, education, and professionalism. That describes Norma! As the onsite General Manager for the Sun City Civic Association, Norma jumped in with both feet and has accomplished so much in a short time. Here are some of the ways she has made a difference to the SCCA community:
Congratulations, Norma! It is a well-deserved honor. We appreciate all that you do for the SCCA! |
